![]() I’ve just been gaming long enough, that we either work around bugs or use them to our advantage. I think some players take the game too seriously and expect a (mostly) perfect product, and that is where the loudest criticisms come from. I find D2:R on a console enjoyable for sure, I just would love to see a few interface tweaks but they aren’t breaking. I played D2 and D2:LOD around release back in the day. I think you might have to pick based on targeting needs, like frozen orb over blizzard for a sorceress. I’ve got a trapsin to 24, her gameplay is great but traps are placed in funny spots occasionally. So on a hammerdin, when charging through an area, he might make a hard cut toward some mob on the side. One game play mechanic I’ve run into is it can be hard to target specific mobs and skills go at whatever is auto-targeted. I picked hammerdin because it was one of my favorites and it it doesn’t require precise targeting. Just make sure you save and exit before you let the game update. I’m playing solo/offline so I haven’t run into any of the online game problems. Inventory management isn’t great compared to on a PC, and the auto-sort isn’t really helpful. ![]() For example, it is a slog to assign skills and attributes after a respec. It is obviously a PC game ported to a console, so some of the interfaces aren’t great. I’m playing on the Switch and loving it with my level 80 hammerdin in act 3 of hell.
